Distributors is a family owned and managed company
devoted to supplying an expanding Australasian wide distribution
network with brake lining materials.
Taro wanted to update their
company image with a clean crisp modern feel. This meant
a redesign of their existing logo and the construction of
a website, their first...
With this brief in mind
we designed the logo with a “forward moving”
feel, incorporating the colours chosen by the client.
With the logo approved the
website conceptualisation took place. The idea was to create
the site which fit in with the original brief, clean, crisp,
modern.
The client could not provide
a lot of imagery for the site so instead bold shapes and
colours were used to create a dynamic feel. Consequently,
the site loads quickly which was also an important consideration
to the client.
The pages are completely
updaetable by the client through a secure Website Administration
that we provided for them.
Access to the product list
requires a login which is provided by Taro. This login also
determinds what pricing structure the user may view e.g
wholesale, retail, government accounts.
...And
the website links in with their existing accounting system,
so parts which are ordered may be immediately removed from
stock lists.

Pod wanted to consolidate the visual identity of the
company, with only a rough idea of what they wanted to 'say'
about themselves.
Knife Fork and Spoon took on the project with a step-by-step
approach beggining with the logo.
After discussing ideas and thoughts on the style that
would best portray the client, we provided several designs
in the agreed look. Simple, elegant, sophisticated, modern.
With the logo approved the next stage of the process
was business cards. An important step as often all a potential
client is left with to remember your company is your business
card.
Staying
with the overall theme of the company we provided a two
colour card to fit in with the clients printing budget.
The next stage of this project, currently under construction,
is the website.
Knife Fork and Spoon will be again working in close contact
with the client to provide a site which looks as visually
appealing as the logo and stationery.

had some ideas about the image I wanted to portray regarding
my new business and the type of logo and design that I wanted,
however I couldn't really put my finger on it.
Therese Lloyd at Knife Fork & Spoon took away my ideas
and came back with some great layouts incorporating various
colours and designs all around my projected theme. She even
generated a slogan for me which I have printed on my cards
and brochures which nicely states the purpose of my business.
I am extremely happy with the final product and receive
a lot of comments about the design. My next venture with
Knife fork and Spoon will be the development of my web page
and look forward to working with them again.
